Spinal Injection For Pain Management

Treatment varies from patient to patient and depends on the technique used. One possible solution to managing pain is through injection therapies to relieve acute or chronic pain. This involves a series of three injections, but not every patient may require all three. In this procedure, the doctor places a needle into the muscle, joint, or spine. Medication can then be injected or pain can be treated through heat, cold or electricity therapies. After the initial injection, one of our doctors needs to assess the patient to determine the success of the injection before a second or third injection is administered. After injections relieve pain, the doctor may recommend physical therapy or chiropractic adjustments to help relieve pain or regain mobility. Those patients who receive injections with x-ray fluoroscopy guidance will likely have better results than others.
